❝ Once upon a time... aryndil, or just ‘aryn’ was born of the solitary vale, an isolated stretch of fertile land, clothed in a constant rolling fog, on the line between the realms of Fae and Elves . the elves, watchers at the rims of these two worlds to ensure they never intermingled, in fear an old prophecy stating a halfblood fae would bring the doom of the vale and it's king.aryn was born to a small, peasant family; his father and mother both raised him to respect the land, and to generally be kind to others- though, due to how far out his family was, he rarely spoke with other children his age. once his fae blood began to mature, his gift in mana soon began to show itself. aryn had the rare gift of both fae magic ; chaos , charms , deceit , and nature , and a deepened connection to his more mystical aspects of his vampire blood , allowing him to commune with the moon and it ' s spirit , and access the magics of darkness , moonlight , and blood . it was something not recorded before; he never got the chance to mature into his own powers however , as one day, elven inquisitors showed up at their door; the elves of the vale were strict on their laws, and one of their most prominent was the law against the laying of fae and other races .aryn watched, powerless from the cupboards he hid in, as they raised a red crystal and his mother's appearance melted away, revealing her pure white eyes, and reddish orange hair like a sunset- and then watched them put a sword through her throat . his father was driven to a bloody rage , leaping at the inquisitors and tearing them limb from limb , until zebariel himself put a stake through his heart .aryn let out the tiniest sob- but it was enough to alert the inquisitors, who pulled him out by his red, autumn colored hair, prepared to kill him aswell. however, at the last moment they were stopped by the archmage zebariel, who took the boy under his ‘apprenticeship’, as he was the first recorded halfbreed between both fae and vampire , using the claim that they only had laws against the laying of fae and other races , not being a product of such layings .aryn endured days upon days of intrusive tests and studies, becoming the archmage ' s new favorite project because what else could he do at such an age ? once zebariel noted his fae magic , he trained aryn to cast the strongest charms he could manged , ' encouraging ' him with beatings and verbal insults that cut him down to his core, often leaving him weeping wordlessly .aryn was , for the first time , fed the blood of a human ; before he only drank animal ' s blood , as both his parents agreed drinking human blood was immoral . zebariel would constantly feed aryn with the finest blood he could find , having the boy in a constant , near drug - like haze .over the next few years , aryn would be used by zebariel to charm and bring nobles of the vale under aryn ' s powerful fae charm , doing whatever was necessary , and punishing aryn cruelly when he would not , which was rare due to his blood induced haze .

this included flirting with these nobles , kissing them , killing them , serving them if need be , and . . . other things .eventually he had the masses of nobles near worshipping his every step . zebariel intended to eventually use aryn ' s charm to overthrow the king and the royal family, and plant himself as high king of the vale, with aryn as his heir .then, one day - zebariel ' s most perfect, obedient servant, for the first time since he ' d been taken from his home, turned his blade against his master.the archmage ' s body was found smiling , throat bruised , and stab wounds in several locations , and his heir ' s quarters were empty .aryn stormed the royal quarters , stealing the crown of the vale for himself , and massacring the royal family and any loyalists who remained in the court . he killed the king , the queen , the royal advisor who was brother to the king , and the two princes , one being seven years old and the other being twelve . this day is looked back on often by him as the blackest sin he ever committed .the crown of the vale had a unique ability to allow it ' s wearer ' s magic to be used anywhere in the vale . it didn ' t make the magic itself more powerful , but simply gave it a very , very long range . once this was put on the head of aryn , who had a constantly running fae charm as part of his physiology . . . the entire nation of the vale was , within three years , calling aryn ' the god king of the vale ' .aryn had people worshipping the ground he walked on , and yet it was not enough . he still felt so , so empty .one day , the crown was stolen by a demon . the kingdom beyond the walls of the castle fell into immediate ruin and war , the charm that held them for so long now permanently etching into their minds , making them half mad , obsessed with gazing upon their king so they may feel the warmth of the charm once more . the kingdom tore itself apart ; buildings were made into smolders , castles into ruins , cities into mountains of dead bodies that sat for weeks , picked at by the crows .aryn managed to escape narrowly , and upon gazing at the kingdom he never cared for , he could only stare for hours until he heard voices , and was forced to flee .aryn chased the devil down , stealing the crown back and exorcising the devil in an old fae ritual , but the damage had been done .without a thing to care for , aryn began to wander - making enemies of angels , breaking pacts with devils , and cheating gods ; seeking a death he refuses to except quietly . after even the joys of wandering faded , he settled into the wild woods of the east , building a manor he since calls home .

a universe with the same backstory as his main universe , however he never left the vale , never breaking away from zebariel .this version did end up killing zebariel , aswell as the king and the royal family , supplanting them and ruling over the vale as the high king , with a worshipping people who follow him . he holds significant power and influence in the faewilds , only due to how many people he has under his control, a personal army he wields.

an au in which instead of both his mother and father dying , only his elven father dies , with aryn and his mother being able to escape . aryn and his mother escape to the faewilds , where his mother gathers other fae in a massive army alongside aryn , using his powerful charms to rally other fae before razing the vale to the grounds . this aryn is far removed from the physical plane , often remaining in the faewilds for years at a time , and being rather un - happy with life.
